TFR 91: In the Moonlight

Hello and welcome!

This week we’re highlighting film that we feel we need to help remove an asterisk on. See, every time a film wins best picture at that year’s Oscars carries a stigma because it is then drenched in the popularity contest that is the Academy Awards. Well, every so often, a film ACTUALLY DESERVES it because it is indeed the best film of the year. That’s right, we’re discussing Moonlight. The film is a tone poem of pure cinema and emotions that washes over the viewer, and we’re going to do our best to try to get at what makes this movie great.

WARNING: Full spoilers are ON, though we’re not sure if it makes much difference, as you really need to see the film to experience it, and no amount of talking will spoil that.
